Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated Volodymyr Zelensky on Ukraine's Independence Day

On August 24, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a letter in Ukrainian to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, congratulating him on the 35th anniversary of the country's Independence. Zelensky reported this on his Twitter page.
In his congratulatory message, the Uzbek leader wished Zelensky "strong health, family happiness, prosperity and success in responsible statehood, and peace and prosperity for the Ukrainian people."
"I am confident that thanks to our joint efforts, the traditional bonds of friendship and relations between our countries, based on the principles of mutual respect, will continue to develop consistently," the president's congratulatory message reads.
Zelensky expressed gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for this congratulation.
"Ukraine highly values \u200b\u200btraditional friendship with Uzbekistan and remains committed to expanding bilateral cooperation, trade and economic ties. I wish President Mirziyoyev good health and success, and the people of Uzbekistan a peaceful and prosperous future," Zelensky wrote in his tweet.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan also congratulated Ukraine on Independence Day.
We recall that the head of Uzbekistan sends such a congratulatory letter to his Ukrainian counterpart every year.
