At the Asian Games taking place in Japan, Uzbekistan's kayakers started the competition by winning another set of gold and silver medals.

Shahriyor Mahkamov finished first in the men's 500-meter single event, becoming the Asian Games champion.

Additionally, Arina Tanatmisheva, a member of the Uzbekistan kayaking team, won a silver medal. She crossed the finish line second in the 500-meter single event.

Meanwhile, the duo of Vladlen Denisov and Nilufar Zokirova, representing the Uzbekistan canoeing team, added another silver medal to the delegation's tally.

Thus, the delegation of Uzbekistan brought its number of gold medals in the tournament to eight and rose to fourth place in the overall team standings, overtaking Kazakhstan.
