Security forces of Turkey and Uzbekistan conducted a joint operation to detain a hiding accused person

In Istanbul, as a result of joint actions by the law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan and Turkey, a citizen of our country who was on the international wanted list was detained. This was reported by the General Consulate of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.

The detained citizen is accused of committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 168 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan ("Fraud").

Following the detention, the suspect was handed over to the judicial authorities of Uzbekistan in accordance with the established procedure.

The diplomatic mission emphasized that the competent agencies of the two countries consistently continue their cooperation in the field of combating crime, searching for wanted individuals, and thwarting attempts to evade accountability.
