Saida Mirziyoyeva inspected the state of affairs at a regional narcological facility to launch reforms in the sector

Head of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva visited a regional narcological facility to assess the current situation on site and launch reforms in the most problematic areas.

Following the visit, plans were announced to create a unified system in the republic, where prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation will function as a single mechanism under the management of a multidisciplinary team of specialists.

Saida Mirziyoyeva emphasized that, alongside basic therapy conditions and the qualifications of medical personnel, sincere support and human compassion play a crucial role in patient recovery.

According to her, people facing addiction should not be afraid to seek help or be left alone with their problem.

For a comprehensive update of the narcological service, a special program for the fundamental transformation of the sector will be prepared in cooperation with domestic and international experts.

The protection of human dignity and comprehensive support for patients on their path to returning to a healthy life were designated as the main priorities of the upcoming changes.
