Head of the Presidential Administration Saida Mirziyoyeva took part in the opening ceremony of the Center for Contemporary Art in Tashkent.
"This venue houses exhibition halls, a library, a concept store, educational spaces, and public areas designed for meetings and research. Such a wide scope elevates it to the level of the number one complex of its kind in the entire Central Asian region," she wrote on her Telegram channel.
The new cultural cluster is located in the historical building of a former diesel power plant built in 1912, and the architectural transformation of the facility was carried out by the world-famous bureau "Studio KO". Exhibitions, scientific research processes, lectures, open dialogues, film screenings, concerts, and performances will be regularly held here.
"The creation of another such prestigious, modern space in our country is of particular importance. 'CCA Tashkent' will establish close cooperation with creators, curators, and international organizations, creating a foundation for Uzbek talents to reach new audiences and gain worthy recognition on foreign stages.
This project was realized as a result of our President's initiatives and the great efforts of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation," Saida Mirziyoyeva commented.
