Russians are increasingly choosing Uzbekistan for autumn trips

Uzbekistan is turning into one of the main autumn destinations for Russian tourists. According to tour operators, interest in trips to the country has increased by up to 65% compared to the same period last year. Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva remain among the most popular destinations.

According to the Russian Union of Travel Industry, Russians most often book classic sightseeing routes and short city tours.

Programs lasting seven to eight days are in the greatest demand. They usually include Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva. In addition to architecture and historical monuments, tourists are attracted by the local cuisine, traditional crafts, and the culture of the region.

Interest in the destination is also supported by convenient air connections — both local and Russian airlines fly to Uzbekistan.

At the same time, a five-day tour costs from 76.8 thousand rubles for two (excluding travel). A week-long trip will cost at least 100.9 thousand rubles, and a ten-day program starts from 153.5 thousand rubles.

In addition, Uzbekistan intends to expand the list of security services for tourists, including offering bodyguard accompaniment to foreign guests, official delegations, and business representatives.
