Russia struck a train station in Dnipro
On Thursday, a Russian jet drone attacked the railway station in Dnipro.
"As a result of the Russian attack on the railway station in Dnipro, 14 people were injured. Of these, 13 have been hospitalized. Six are in serious condition, including an 11-year-old child. All the victims have multiple shrapnel wounds."
According to the "Ukrzaliznytsia" railway company, the strike hit the platform where the Dnipro – Zaporizhzhia passenger train was standing.
"Despite the high-danger warning, there were people on the platform," the report stated.
According to the National Police of Ukraine, the Russian drone flew into the station at around 11:00 AM.
Russia intensified its attacks on Ukraine's railway infrastructure in 2026. 120 passenger cars, 304 locomotives, and 43 railway stations have been damaged.
During this time, 50 railway workers were killed in the line of duty. Due to the increase in attacks, authorities have tightened security requirements. Passengers are evacuated from trains during air raid alerts, and sometimes this can happen several times during a single trip. As a result, travel times increase significantly. For example, delays on the Dnipro-Odesa route can reach up to 5-12 hours.
