Russia and Uzbekistan to expand cooperation in combating corruption
The Prosecutor General's Office of Russia and the Anti-Corruption Agency of Uzbekistan have signed a Cooperation Program for 2027–2028. Russia and Uzbekistan to increase cooperation in the fight against corruption
The Prosecutor General's Office of Russia and the Anti-Corruption Agency of Uzbekistan have concluded a Cooperation Program for 2027–2028.
The document provides for the further strengthening of cooperation between the two agencies in the anti-corruption sphere.
At a meeting with the head of the Anti-Corruption Agency of Uzbekistan, Akmal Burkhanov, the Prosecutor General of Russia, Aleksandr Gutsan, emphasized that 2026 has become a significant milestone in the development of relations between the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation and the law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan.
Gutsan also instructed to agree in the near future on the date of the first expert event within the framework of the new Program of Joint Activities.
In addition, the head of the Russian supervisory authority noted Uzbekistan's contribution to the international anti-corruption agenda and wished the country success in hosting the 12th session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption, which will take place in 2027.
