Residents of Uzbekistan will be able to retrieve original workbooks, diplomas, and other personal documents from state archives.

Residents of Uzbekistan now have the opportunity to retrieve original copies of their work books, diplomas, and other personal documents that were stored in state archives after the liquidation of organizations. This service is available through State Service Centers or online. It also applies to the immediate family of the deceased document holder.

This new government service was introduced by a Cabinet of Ministers resolution. Applications can be submitted through State Service Centers or electronically through the Unified Portal of Interactive Government Services my.gov.uz. A personal visit to the archive is not required to submit the application.

The document can be obtained by the citizen themselves if it was stored in the archives of the liquidated organization. In the event of the citizen's death, their close relatives—parents, spouse, or children—can apply for the documents.

To obtain the document, you must complete a request form, providing your personal information, information about a possible change of last or first name, passport information and PINFL, contact information, as well as information about the organization where you worked or the educational institution where you studied. You must also indicate the specific document believed to be in the archive.

The document found can be collected directly from the state archive. At the applicant's request, it can also be delivered to the specified address by courier service.

The application is processed within 10 business days. After the archival materials are verified, the citizen will be notified of the search results via the information and communication system.

The cost of this service is 1 BRV (currently 412,000 soums, 440,000 from September 1).

When submitting an application, it is recommended to indicate as precisely as possible the organization where the person worked or studied, which will speed up the archival search.

This new service is designed to simplify the process of obtaining documents that were previously difficult to find after the liquidation of organizations. Citizens now have a uniform application procedure, a specific processing timeframe, and the ability to submit an application online.

Citizens are asked to report illegal activities in state archives to the Uzarchive Agency hotline at 55-50-301-50 or via @antikor_archive_bot.
