Requested to report cases of forced voting for the “Open Budget”.

The State Labor Inspectorate called on citizens to report cases of forced voting within the framework of the “Open Budget” project.

The Inspectorate asked employees of budgetary organizations involved in forced voting in the “Open Budget” to report this by calling the short number 1176.

The Inspectorate noted that forced voting or involving employees in voting is contrary to labor legislation. It also reminded that, in accordance with Article 51 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, any form of administrative coercion to work entails a fine of 50 to 100 times the base calculation amount.

“Dear employers! If it is determined that you have forced employees to vote or participate in voting, the project may be excluded from the “Initiative Budget” process. The responsible persons will be held accountable in accordance with the established procedure,” the message says.

The voting phase for projects shortlisted under the “Initiative Budget” began on August 21 at 23:59 and will continue until August 31 at 23:59. Due to the proliferation of unofficial Telegram bots promising monetary rewards in exchange for voting, the Ministry of Economy and Finance issued a warning, urging people to vote for changes, not rewards, and to avoid falling into the trap of scammers.
