A devastating downpour has hit India. The state of Uttar Pradesh was the hardest hit. In just two days, it received nearly a month's worth of rainfall.
Landslides also occurred. More than a thousand homes were damaged, and 46 people were injured. Rescuers are working in the flooded areas, delivering humanitarian aid to residents.
Heavy rains also lashed Nepal, which has not yet had time to recover from the previous flood. So far, only 14 citizens are on the list of the deceased. Eleven people are missing. The country's authorities warned that floods are still possible in 49 more districts. Water levels in major rivers continue to rise. Due to the raging elements, power supply and communications have been disrupted in several districts. Efforts are underway to restore them.
