Gavhar Zokirova, who starred in films such as "Tangalik bolalar" (Children of Tangalik), "Bolalik bekatidagi poyezd" (The Train at the Childhood Station), and "Temir erkak" (The Iron Man), celebrated her 77th birthday on September 10. Gavhar Zokirova was born on September 10, 1949, in the Nurafshon district of the Tashkent region. After graduating from high school, she studied at the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute. In 1971, she graduated from the Tashkent State Institute of Theater and Art. Gavhar Zokirova, who has been working as an actress at the Hamza Theater, now the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theater, since 1971, made her first stage performance in the play "Parvoz".
She has performed roles in more than 100 plays, such as "Othello", "Abu Rayhon Beruniy", "Kelinlar qo‘zg‘oloni", "Sohibqiron Temur", "Najot Istab", and "O‘zgalar dardi". She was awarded the Hamza State Prize for her portrayal of Gulbahor in the play "Boy ila Hizmatchi".
Between 1978 and 1988, the actress starred in the films "To‘ylar muborak", "Olmos kamar", "Bolalik bekatidagi poyezd" ("Poyezd so stansii detstva"), and "Tepalik". In the 1990s, she participated in movies titled "Tangalik bolalar", "Temir erkak", and "Tilsimoy — g‘aroyib qizaloq". In addition, she also appeared in the films "Sevinch", "Sarvinoz", and "Kulba".
