Yayra Abdullayeva was born on August 14, 1930 in the Andijan region. In 1950, she graduated from the Tashkent Institute of Arts and began her career at the Hamza Theater. The actress's first film appearance was in 1953 in the film "Boy ila khistashchi". Later, in 1954-1956, she played roles in the films "Opa-singil Rakhmonovalar" and "Stadionda rukuramiz".

In 1960-1965, she starred in the films "Hamza" and "By the Order of Conscience", and in 1978-1986, she starred in the television play "Spring Melody", "Leningrad People, My Children", "Every Teardrop Has a Fault", as well as in the films "Fiery Paths" and "Diamond Belt". Yayra Abdullayeva, who has played various roles in various productions for many years, also starred in many other films, such as "Bobur", "Alpomish", "Little People" and "The Bridegroom Has Arrived".

The recipient of the "Friendship" and "Honor of the Nation" orders died on May 14, 2019.
