October 2026 marked 112 years since the birth of Zaynab Sadriyeva, who was well known for her roles as Granny Anzirat in cinema and Bibi Farmon in the theater. On this occasion, Gazeta prepared a quiz based on the creative career of the People's Artist of Uzbekistan.

Zaynab Sadriyeva was born on October 25, 1914, in the city of Astrakhan. She worked at the Uzbek working youth theatre from 1930 to 1933. Between 1933 and 1987, she worked at the Hamza Theatre, and from 1987 to 1991, at the theatre named after Abror Hidoyatov. She played memorable roles in plays such as "Rebellion of the Brides" ("Kelinlar qo‘zg‘oloni"), "Farmonbibi Took Offense" ("Farmonbibi arazladi"), and "Mirzo Ulug'bek".
She starred in the film "The Landlord and the Servant" ("Boy ila xizmatchi") in 1954, and in "Daughter of the Ganges" ("Gang daryosining qizi") in 1961. The film "Iron Man" ("Temir erkak") featuring her was released in 1991. There is also information that Zaynab Sadriyeva participated in films such as "The Rejected Bride" ("Otvergnutaya nevesta") and "The Stone Idol" ("Kamennыy idol").
The actress, who passed away on October 31, 1991, was awarded the Order "For Outstanding Merit" ("Buyuk xizmatlari uchun") in 2026.
