Putin congratulates Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Independence Day
On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is receiving sincere congratulations from foreign states and heads of government. In particular, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin sent his best wishes to the leader and people of Uzbekistan.
The congratulatory letter noted that Uzbekistan is taking bold steps towards economic and social development and has a deservedly high reputation in the world.
"The relations between Russia and Uzbekistan are of a strategic partnership and alliance nature. Moscow and Tashkent have established fruitful cooperation in all key areas, and active mutual contacts on international issues. I am confident that our joint efforts will ensure the further expansion of all aspects of partnership relations in the interests of the friendly peoples of Russia and Uzbekistan, in order to strengthen regional security and stability," the congratulatory text reads.
In his letter, Vladimir Putin wished Shavkat Mirziyoyev good health and success, and the people of Uzbekistan happiness and prosperity.
We would like to remind you that in June of this year, the President of Uzbekistan paid a working visit to Russia. With the participation of the leaders of the two states, the construction of the first integrated nuclear power plant in Uzbekistan was launched.
