During the 2 exchange trades held on September 17–18, the price of propane increased by 64.8 percent.
In the trades on September 17, the average price for 1 ton of liquefied gas rose from 7 million 412 thousand soums to 11 million 905 thousand soums, becoming 60.6 percent more expensive.
On September 18, the price increased by almost 2.6 percent, reaching 12 million 217 thousand soums. Thus, the wholesale price of propane increased by 4.8 million soums or approximately 65 percent within 2 days.
The sharp rise in prices may be related to the removal of the limit on the price increase for selling liquefied gas in exchange trades starting from September 17.
