President of Uzbekistan to pay an official visit to Serbia
At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will pay an official visit to this country on September 7-8.
According to the program of the stay in Belgrade, high-level talks will be held, as well as a business forum with the participation of representatives of official and business circles of the two countries.
The agenda of the upcoming contacts includes issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-Serbian multifaceted partnership.
Particular attention will be paid to increasing trade, economic, and investment cooperation, and implementing joint projects in such priority areas as transport, mechanical engineering, light and food industries, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and information technologies.
Issues of establishing cooperation in the field of organized labor migration, and expanding interregional, cultural, and humanitarian ties will also be considered.
Following the summit, it is planned to adopt a substantial package of intergovernmental and interdepartmental agreements.
