Uzbekistan and Serbia will expand trade and economic cooperation

Uzbekistan and Serbia intend to deepen trade and economic cooperation.

On August 13 of this year, online talks were held between Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, and Nenad Popović, Serbia's Minister for International Economic Cooperation.

According to the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, during the dialogue, the parties discussed strengthening trade, economic, and investment ties between the two countries.

Particular attention was paid to preparations for the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, scheduled for this fall in Belgrade.

The participants in the talks also analyzed a number of specific trade and investment proposals and identified key areas for further cooperation. These included pharmaceuticals, agriculture, chemicals, mechanical engineering, textiles, and transport infrastructure development.

Following the meeting, Uzbekistan and Serbia agreed to continue joint efforts aimed at increasing mutual trade and implementing new investment and trade projects.
