On October 19, competitions in drone piloting among military personnel took place within the Central Military District of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan. The ministry's press service informed Kun.uz that service members participated in the "Most Advanced Group in the Combat Use of Drones" contest and "Drone racing" competitions.

In the competition, military personnel from the Jizzakh, Samarkand, and Navoi garrisons demonstrated their skills, agility, accuracy, and quick response in emergency situations while operating modern drones.

It is reported that this military district-level competition is considered an important step in interregional experience sharing and the popularization of modern technologies among the military.

This event is being held on the basis of a presidential decree on the development of esports, drone, and robotic technology sports in the Uzbek army. According to it, a three-stage competition system in drone technology has been introduced: the first stage is held annually in August in ministries and agencies, the second stage in October at the military district level, and the third stage in December as the "Minister of Defense Cup".
