Personnel training in public safety to be improved
At least five years of practical service in the field of ensuring public safety in the internal affairs bodies and the National Guard
**Training of personnel in public safety will be improved**
The system of training personnel in the field of ensuring public safety will be further improved.
The Presidential Decree "On additional measures to further improve the system of training professional personnel in the field of ensuring public safety" (No. PD-302, 26.08.2026) was adopted.
According to the decree, starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, at the University of Public Safety, for the purpose of training personnel for the internal affairs bodies in the areas of crime prevention, road safety, maintenance of public order, and security activities (ensuring public safety):
- The University's annual admission quotas will be increased up to 600 cadets for the full-time form of undergraduate education, and up to 300 students for the distance learning form, and 3/4 of them will be directed to training personnel in the field of ensuring public safety for the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs;
- In the training of personnel for the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs by the University, admission quotas and the distribution of specialties (directions) will be determined based on the needs of the internal affairs bodies, in agreement with the Department of Public Safety and the Rule of Law of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- Training of personnel with higher education in the field of jurisprudence for the public safety assurance direction of the internal affairs bodies and the National Guard at the University will be carried out:
- in the full-time form of undergraduate education in the directions of "Jurisprudence ("Crime Prevention Activity", "Public Order Maintenance Activity", "Road Safety Activity" and "Security Activity")", and in the distance learning form in the direction of "Jurisprudence ("Legal Provision of Public Safety")";
- in the master's program for employees and military personnel of the internal affairs bodies and the National Guard with at least five years of practical service experience in the field of ensuring public safety in the specialty of "Organization of Public Safety Assurance Activity".
