Pension services in Uzbekistan are planned to be fully digitized
On September 28, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree approving additional measures for the digitalization of the state pension system. By January 1, 2027, services are planned to be fully transitioned into interactive and proactive formats. From the same date, the Pension Fund will cease to accept paper documents.
Pension services in Uzbekistan are planned to be fully transitioned into a digital format.
Starting November 1, 2026, old-age pensions will be granted automatically, without application, two years prior to the established age, to those who have lost their jobs due to a reduction in the volume of work or the liquidation of an enterprise.
Starting January 1, 2027, survivor's pensions will begin to be granted in the same proactive manner.
At the same time, it will be possible to opt out of a pension granted in a proactive form.
Starting November 1, 2026, it will be possible to apply for a pension on preferential terms through public service centers or the Single Portal of Interactive Public Services — for those who worked in harmful and arduous conditions, as well as for other individuals entitled to a pension with a reduction in the generally established age.
Starting December 1, 2026, the following will become available online:
· applying for a transition to a different type of pension (if the new pension turns out to be less than the current one, the previous type of pension will remain unchanged);
· applying for a recalculation of the pension amount based on additional electronic information on work experience and salary provided by archives or organizations.
Starting January 1, 2027, the following can be done online:
· switching the pension payment to cash form and resuming suspended payments;
· obtaining information on deductions from the pension amount based on court decisions, rulings, decrees and sentences, enforcement documents, and other decisions, as well as on the accrued pension and voluntary social tax payments;
· registering a pension file in connection with a change of residence.
Starting January 1, 2027, within the framework of the "My Pension" online service, it will be possible to:
· obtain information taken into account when calculating pensions regarding periods of employment, full-time study at higher educational institutions (diploma), and military service;
