Benefits to be provided to parents whose children study in private schools
During his visit to "New Uzbekistan" University, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced new measures regarding reforms in the education system and support for private schools.
In 2026, 800,000 children were admitted to the 1st grade. This is 10 percent more than the previous year's figure. By 2030, the number of children admitted to the 1st grade is expected to reach 1 million.
It was noted that 180–200 thousand student places are being created annually through investment programs. Increasing the share of the private sector in the education system is also determined by the goal of reaching a 10 percent share of non-state schools in general secondary education by 2030.
New financial mechanisms have been established to support the opening of private schools in 52 districts with high educational workloads.
In these areas, it is planned to provide preferential loans at 10 percent for a period of 7 years to establish schools, and to allocate subsidies of up to 15 percent of the opening and equipment costs, but not exceeding 1.5 billion soums.
Land and property tax benefits will be provided to individuals who lease their buildings to schools. In all districts, vacant state-owned buildings will be leased free of charge for 10 years to establish private schools.
Half of the costs for international accreditation of private schools will also be covered.
For parents whose children study in private schools, the non-taxable income limit is set to increase from 3 million soums to 6 million soums. This will allow families to save up to 6–7 million soums per year. Tax authorities will establish a system to automatically refund payments at the end of each month.
