The Organization of Turkic States must withstand the test of time – Alisher Qodirov
Alisher Qodirov, leader of the "Milliy Tiklanish" Democratic Party, expressed his views on the prospects of the Organization of Turkic States, cooperation between brotherly countries, and global threats.
According to him, the foundations of the Organization of Turkic States should rely not only on economic or political interests, but on the historical and blood ties of the brotherly peoples.
"In the coming decades, we will witness the dissolution of those who united for political or economic interest. Such bonds break after serving their purpose, but the bond of blood is not temporary; it does not come and go depending on interests," he wrote.
In his opinion, amid global geopolitical changes, the Turkic states should support each other not only for mutual interests, but also due to historical proximity.
"In the coming century, the weak will disappear; we are forced to unite so as not to disappear," the politician emphasized.
Qodirov noted that although a hundred years ago the Turkic peoples strived toward one another, they were unable to help each other due to the weakness of their states.
He also stated the need to preserve historical and spiritual ties between the Turkic states that transcend economic interests.
The party leader emphasized that the initiatives put forward by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the Ankara summit of the Organization of Turkic States should be deeply studied and implemented based precisely on these criteria.
