One in three foreign enterprises in Uzbekistan is in the trade sector

One in three foreign enterprises in Uzbekistan is in the trade sector
As of September 1, 21,490 enterprises with foreign investment were operating in Uzbekistan.
Of these, 7,637 are in the trade sector. This accounts for nearly 35.5 percent of the total number of enterprises.
There are 4,177 enterprises operating in the industrial sector, and 1,840 in the information and communication sector. In the construction sector, 1,769 enterprises with foreign investment were registered.
In the accommodation and food services sector, 945 enterprises are operating. The number of enterprises in the transportation and storage sector stood at 665.
In agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, 541 foreign enterprises are operating. In the healthcare and social services sector, 247 enterprises were registered. The remaining 3,669 enterprises fall under other types of economic activity.
