Octobank held over 100 meetings with international partners at the SIBOS 2026 event
Paying for product deliveries from abroad, receiving revenue, finding a source of financing for a new contract — behind each of these tasks lies the work of banks from different countries.
To exchange experience and expand cooperation, Octobank once again met with leading participants of the global financial market at the SIBOS 2026 exhibition.
Over four days at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami, the Octobank delegation held more than 100 meetings with representatives of banks, payment systems, and technology companies. The bank continued ties with existing partners and established new connections in the US, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
Meetings were held within the forum with BNY, Raiffeisen Bank International, ICBC Standard Bank, China Construction Bank, Standard Chartered, Société Générale, Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, Citi Bank, and others. The negotiations covered correspondent relations, currency and interbank transactions, trade finance, as well as payment solutions.
"In international cooperation, it is important to understand the capabilities of each partner and the conditions of working together. For the bank's clients, the result must be clear: successfully carrying out international settlements and expanding their business opportunities. At SIBOS, we discussed what solutions we can offer together with foreign partners. Face-to-face negotiations allow us to consider these tasks in detail and strengthen the trust necessary for long-term cooperation," said Hamid Jumayev, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Octobank.
Organized annually by Swift, SIBOS took place from September 28 to October 1. Octobank participated in it for the third time. This year, the bank was the only one from Uzbekistan to participate with its own stand.
Commemorative coins depicting Alisher Navoiy, Amir Temur, and other prominent figures of Uzbekistan aroused particular interest. Through these gifts, the team introduced guests to the country's history and rich cultural heritage.
In Miami, Octobank demonstrated Uzbekistan's modern banking sector, open to international cooperation. Relying on its 25 years of experience and deep understanding of business needs, the bank is developing long-term partnership ties to support its clients in foreign markets.
