Not waiting for a catastrophe: "Uzaviation" launches an early warning system
The Civil Aviation Agency under the Ministry of Transport has updated its voluntary reporting system for aviation risks. Now, industry workers and passengers can report violations, malfunctions, and other situations that could potentially jeopardize flight safety.
The purpose of the system is extremely simple: it is better to learn about a problem in advance than to deal with the consequences of an aviation accident later.
"Uzaviation" emphasizes that serious incidents are often preceded by minor malfunctions, procedural violations, or other risk factors that may go unnoticed. The voluntary reporting system is designed to help identify such "weak points" and eliminate them before they lead to negative consequences.
At the same time, the regulator is focusing not on punishment, but on obtaining the most complete information possible. The main principle of the system is flight safety, not finding someone to blame.
The reports will be used to analyze risks and improve aviation processes. The Agency promises confidentiality: personal data will not be disclosed in reports, and submissions can be made anonymously.
Furthermore, "Uzaviation" states that information received through the voluntary reporting system will not serve as a basis for disciplinary or other punishment.
What can be reported?
Aviation industry employees can report procedural violations, equipment malfunctions or failures, as well as any other situation that could have led to an incident.
Passengers can also be a source of information. If, during a flight or their stay at an airport, they notice a situation that causes concern for safety, this can be reported to the system.
In essence, "Uzaviation" is trying to build an additional early warning channel: not waiting for an accident to search for its causes, but gathering signals about potential problems in advance.
