Unusual flights of the AVION laboratory aircraft are beginning over Tashkent: the Ministry of Transport has explained the reason.

Special flight tests using the AVION laboratory aircraft will begin over the capital of Uzbekistan in the coming days, the country's Ministry of Transport announced.

Starting August 20, Tashkent residents may notice the aircraft flying at a relatively low altitude, repeatedly overflying the same areas, and performing various maneuvers. As a result, aircraft noise levels in the city may be higher than usual.

The Ministry of Transport specifically noted that these flights are scheduled and are not related to emergencies or incidents.

The laboratory aircraft is designed to test and calibrate radio equipment and airfield lighting equipment. During these tests, routes may differ from standard passenger flights, and the aircraft may fly over certain areas of the capital several times a day.

AVION is a specialized aircraft laboratory developed by AVION Airlines, which Uzaeronavigatsia launched after receiving its Air Operator Certificate. The aircraft is equipped with high-precision equipment for testing air navigation systems for compliance with international requirements and ICAO standards.

As previously stated by the Ministry of Transport, the creation of an in-house provider will enable such testing to be conducted using internal resources and ensure independent monitoring of air navigation systems.
