NMMC updates production "hardware" of GMZ No. 3
Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company (NMMC) has modernized its process control systems at Hydrometallurgical Plant No. 3. The upgrade of server equipment, industrial networks, and control systems, as reported by the NMMC information service, will increase production reliability, reduce the risks of emergency shutdowns, and strengthen real-time monitoring of technological processes.
During the project, modern server equipment, fiber-optic communication lines, power supply units, as well as technological control and measurement instruments were installed in a number of workshops and production areas of the enterprise.
In addition, the control infrastructure was updated: control cabinets were reconstructed, server infrastructure was modernized, and industrial communication networks were improved.
Thanks to this, the control system received expanded capabilities for rapid collection, processing, and transmission of technological data. Now, production processes can be managed centrally, and the status of equipment can be monitored in real time.
One of the main results of the modernization was a faster response to potential deviations in equipment operation. The automated system continuously monitors key technological parameters, helps identify potential malfunctions at an early stage, and allows for timely corrective measures.
For an industrial enterprise, this means a reduced likelihood of unscheduled shutdowns, increased equipment reliability, and more efficient management of production processes.
The modernization of Hydrometallurgical Plant No. 3 has become the next stage of NMMC's digital transformation. The company continues to update its production infrastructure and expand the use of automated technologies aimed at increasing production efficiency and sustainability.
