Uzbekistan Central Bank Launches Cyber Threat Data Sharing System
Uzbekistan’s Central Bank has launched a real-time cyber threat information-sharing system for banks and other financial market participants.

Uzbekistan’s Central Bank said its CERT-CBU cybersecurity center, together with relevant government bodies, has launched a real-time platform for exchanging cyber threat information among financial market participants.
Under the system, when one bank detects a new phishing link, malicious website, suspicious IP address or another indicator linked to a cyberattack, that information is immediately passed on to other participants.
This allows other banks and payment organizations to take the needed protective steps before the same threat reaches their systems or customers.
The Central Bank said the system currently connects all commercial banks in the country, all payment system operators, the currency exchange, the KATM credit bureau and 20 payment organizations. These are ATTO, Alif, Atmos, Beelab, Choyxona, Click, Freedom Pay, Open, Global Solutions, Oson, Paylov, Payme, Paynet, Payze, Plum Technologies, Infinity Pay, Sello, Uzbekiston Pochtasi, Uzum Nasiya and Devhub.
The regulator said that when one organization identifies a new cyber threat, it acts as an early warning for other financial market participants.
According to the Central Bank, the mechanism helps limit the spread of cyber threats across the financial system, supports a faster response and strengthens user protection.
The Central Bank also cautioned about scammers who may call while pretending to be representatives of the regulator and ask for confidential bank card details, SMS verification codes or money transfers. The agency urged people not to trust such calls and not to share confidential information with anyone.
