**New War, Trump-Kim Meeting – Weekly Digest**

Last week, the United States conducted a secret operation to transport oil in the Strait of Hormuz. At the same time, it became known that US President Donald Trump intends to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Washington plans to impose sanctions on individuals and organizations that do business with Iran. And in Ukraine, Mikhail Fyodorov demanded elections. Let's take a few minutes to review these and other important events of the week together.

**Economic War on Iran**

America began a war against Iran in late February. This war, which was expected to end quickly, has reached a dead end after six months. Although America aimed to end everything before the World Cup, the most spectacular competition in the world took place in a state of war. The war is likely not over even before the midterm elections in November.

Having failed to achieve its military and political goals, the Trump administration is now considering the option of an economic war against Iran. America is now threatening sanctions on those who do business with Iran, relying on the principle of "those who are not with us are against us."

The United States is expected to announce new sanctions against Iran at a press conference tomorrow. Washington aims to punish anyone who helps Iran. According to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant, "Those who are not with us are against us. If you do business with Iran, if you transfer money, if you buy oil, the American government will use all its power against you."

American Vice President Jay Dee Vance said that economic pressure is "the most effective tool of influence in Washington's hands." Gentlemen, what would have happened if you had done this before starting a war? So much war, so much bloodshed, so much departure, and in the end, you still achieve your goal through sanctions, why didn't you use your "most effective sphere of influence" instead of fighting from the beginning? The interesting thing is that Iran is the "world champion" in living under sanctions. This country has been living under sanctions since the 1979 revolution. Iran doesn't say "sanctions make us stronger" like some country in Eastern Europe, it just knows how to live under such conditions.

**Trump wants to meet Kim**

US President Trump intends to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. This meeting may take place in China in November. The American president has met with the North Korean leader twice before. Once at a summit in Vietnam, and then in the demilitarized zone between the two Koreas. But nothing has changed since those meetings. Trump just took a picture with Kim. The main result of this meeting will undoubtedly be a photo of the two politicians together.

Trump sharply shortened the duration of the traditional American military exercises with South Korea to hold this meeting. He told reporters that he wanted to meet with Kim and that dialogue had been established with him as a political victory. However, if he had told his friend Xi Jinping, he would have put the North Korean leader on the phone in one fell swoop.

Trump boasted to reporters that he has a "very good relationship with Kim." The American president intends to propose negotiations on the North Korean nuclear program at the meeting. Trump said that the North currently has 57 powerful nuclear weapons.

But it is clear that Kim will not give up nuclear weapons if America offers something. After all, it has become a habit during his time to present the nuclear program as the main reason for the country's existence. Although life in the North is radically different from the South, and people are fed, society does not put any pressure on the government. That's why Kim continues to develop his nuclear program without any problems. It is most likely that there will be a meeting between Trump and Kim, not two politicians, but two celebrities. It is not worth waiting for something to be resolved.

**Fyodorov calls for elections**

Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fyodorov called for elections in the country. "Putin should not decide when Ukrainians choose their government. Democracy is not a luxury in peacetime, it is what we are fighting for," Fyodorov said. A few hours before this address, Zelensky had recommended Yevgeny Khmara as the candidate to replace Fyodorov as Defense Minister.

After Mykhailo Fyodorov resigned as Defense Minister of Ukraine, the country's discontent with President Zelensky increased. People took to the streets demanding that Fyodorov be reinstated. After his resignation, Fyodorov's reputation increased. Now his rating is very high, it is said that it is even higher than Zelensky's. If elections are held, it is Fyodorov who will be Zelensky's main opponent.

Ukraine has not held presidential elections due to the war. The country's legislation allows for the suspension of elections to the Verkhovna Rada during wartime, but there is no such restriction regarding presidential elections. Therefore, Ukraine's allies, in particular America, have repeatedly called on Kiev to hold elections.

Zelensky is not allowing elections, citing the impossibility of ensuring security during wartime. The president also says that the absence of Ukrainians from the territories occupied by Russia from voting will not allow the results to be fair.

**Secret oil operation**

The United States is organizing a secret movement of oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz. According to American publications, this operation is being controlled from headquarters across the ocean. So, as part of a "secret operation," the American military compiles a list of ships entering and leaving Hormuz. Warships on the water, fighter jets in the sky, burning free diesel and kerosene purchased with American taxpayer money, guarding oil tankers from other countries. A unique procession!

This procession guards 15-20 ships in a column on the way, and on the way back, it guards another tanker loaded with oil. After the column, there are no stops on the way, no food, no access to shops to buy water or food, everyone just has to push. A joke, of course, but this is a really interesting process.

After all, before the war, everyone could freely enter Hormuz to buy oil and leave freely, no one resisted, and they didn't even charge. They would stop wherever they wanted. Now, as part of an American "secret operation", it is necessary to enter Hormuz, take oil, and fix the couple without filling the barrels! And this is said to be a successful operation of the American army. Gentlemen, entering and exiting a waterway that the whole world freely enters and exits with the help of guards from the sky and sea is not called success, but failure.

This fact alone shows how illogically America has entered a war, and now everyone is suffering from this war. Truly big countries should solve other people's problems, not create new ones.

**"Accident" in Kiev**

A traffic accident that occurred on one of the streets of Kiev in Ukraine is being widely discussed. The driver of a BMW X3 wrongly joined the main road and blocked the path of a BMW X7 that was moving according to the rules. As a result, the cars went onto the sidewalk and overturned. The offender was a 36-year-old official of the Ukrainian Football Union. There were people at the roadside when the accident occurred, in a restaurant where cars were hit.

The incident caused such a stir that the president of the country, which is in a state of war, Zelensky, made a special speech and announced that the Security Service would hold a large meeting on road violations. It is surprising that Ukrainians, even though the country is in a state of war, are seriously discussing such violations and calling for a systematic fight.

Now let's take a closer look at the situation. The offender was just trying to go straight, ignoring the right traffic sign. That is, he most likely managed to turn around from the other side. According to the rules, the driver of the BMW X3 was supposed to first move into the bus lane, and if there were no cars in the next lane, turn on the turn signal and cross the broken line of the road, then continue driving. But remembering that he was an "official", he said that these signs do not apply to me, but to law-abiding "loons", and then he looked straight ahead.

You know, I see such violations on our streets every day. This is a normal occurrence for our roads. After all, what is this compared to the fact that black Gentras freely run red lights at intersections where there are no cameras, and when a pregnant woman is hit and killed at a pedestrian crossing in front of a maternity hospital! But we have no reaction to such aggressive drivers. They drive black Gentras with tinted windows, spitting on road signs, rules, and the rights of other drivers around them.

Because in our country, obeying the rules is considered cowardice. If you are a boy, stop: go on red, go in the opposite direction, after all, you have a car! We must abandon this attitude. In our country, getting a car is considered to be a goal in life, no one loves cars as much as we do. It should not be like this. Everyone has a car now, look at the street, there are more drivers than passengers.

In this case, obeying the rules and following road signs is doubly important. We must also learn to systematically fight aggressive violations and violators. We must change the worldview of drivers by all means.
