New rules for exporting cash introduced for those traveling from Russia to Uzbekistan

Citizens traveling from Russia to Uzbekistan will need to confirm the origin of their cash when exporting amounts exceeding 1 million rubles.

To export such an amount, one must present a bank statement showing the withdrawal of money from an account or deposit. Other documents confirming the origin of the funds, including a credit agreement or a loan agreement, are also acceptable.

In addition, flying out with cash exceeding 1 million rubles is only possible through one of 17 designated airports in Russia. These restrictions apply to cash when traveling to Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, and the EAEU countries.

If the established requirements are violated, the amount exceeding 1 million rubles may be seized.
