New electric train will reduce travel time between Tashkent and Andijan

The CR200J electric train imported from China will soon begin its journey between Tashkent and Andijan. During testing, the train covered this distance in 4 hours. Currently, the railway journey between the cities takes 6-7 hours.

The time to travel between Tashkent and Andijan will be reduced thanks to the new electric train.

According to the Tashkent Regional Railway Junction, a Chinese-made CR200J electric train will begin operating on the Tashkent-Andijan route in the coming days. Tests are currently underway on this route.

This train is capable of covering the route in 4 hours. For comparison, currently intercity trains cover this distance in 6 to 7 hours.

The new electric train can accommodate about 400 passengers and can reach a speed of 160 km per hour.

A similar train was recently delivered to the Khorezm region, which runs between Urgench Airport and the city of Khiva.
