Netanyahu's son evacuated from US to Israel
The son of the Israeli prime minister was urgently evacuated from the US to Israel due to a serious threat. This information was confirmed by the Israeli General Security Service (SHABEK) on Saturday, August 29.
The special service said in a statement that "Yair Netanyahu was facing a truly serious threat. Given this threat, based on the results of an assessment of the situation, a decision was made to immediately return him to Israel together with a security team."
The US publication Newsmax reported, citing a source in law enforcement agencies, that Israeli intelligence had already uncovered an Iranian assassination plot to eliminate Yair Netanyahu in Florida at the end of 2025 and warned American officials about it. According to the publication, Iranian agents were in Miami and monitored the whereabouts and movements of Netanyahu's son.
The source reported that the prime minister's son, who is constantly accompanied by Israeli guards, was ordered to leave his residence immediately. He hastily returned to Israel, not even taking his personal belongings, and is currently living there.
Last Thursday, the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council also made threats against the Israeli leader himself. "We will send the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, Benjamin Netanyahu, to hell," Mohsen Rezaei said in an interview with the dpa agency.
Earlier, it was reported that Yair Netanyahu, the son of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, changed his name to Yonatan Hong.
