"Neftchi" exited the Uzbekistan Cup in the quarterfinals

One of the tournament favorites unexpectedly lost 2:4 to Tashkent's "Lokomotiv" club.

"Neftchi" exits the Uzbekistan Cup in the quarterfinals

Fergana's "Neftchi" team failed to advance past the quarterfinals of the Uzbekistan Cup. The reigning champion and leader of the Super League unexpectedly lost at home to Tashkent's "Lokomotiv" club with a score of 2:4.

All goals were scored in the first half. Khurshid Giyosov and Abror Ismoilov scored for the hosts, while Jasur Yakhshiboev (2), Bilol Tupliev, and Diyor Turopov scored for the visitors. Although "Neftchi" had the advantage in the second half, they were unable to turn the match around.

"Lokomotiv" will now compete against "Andijan" in the semifinals. In the other semifinal, OKMK club will face the winner of the "Navbahor" - "Ghazalkent" match.
