Almost a kilogram of drugs seized in two regions of Uzbekistan at once

In the Andijan and Fergana regions, two cases of illicit drug trafficking were thwarted. During operational activities conducted by officers of the State Security Service in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, about one kilogram of banned substances was seized.

According to the SSS press service, a Nexia car was stopped in the Bulakbashi district. A total of 470 grams of hashish was seized from two local residents aged 47 and 41. According to the investigation, the banned substance had been smuggled from a neighboring state.

In the second case, in the Fergana district, 482 grams of dried poppy were found in the home of a 58-year-old man. Criminal cases have been initiated, and investigative actions are ongoing.

During the operations, more than 1.2 kilograms of hashish and hundreds of units of "Tropicamide" were seized.
