Mirziyoyev called for strengthening the protection of children from cyberbullying and online exploitation

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev made an initiative to strengthen international cooperation to create a safe digital environment for children. He also noted that children's own opinions must be taken into account when making decisions.

"We must strengthen cooperation in the fight against cyberbullying, child exploitation, and the misuse of their personal data," the head of state said in an address to the participants of the World Summit on Child Wellbeing in Samarkand.

As Mirziyoyev emphasized, children should have the opportunity to freely and safely express their views on decisions and services that affect their lives. Such participation should be voluntary and appropriate to the child's age.

The President also proposed developing the Samarkand Platform for sharing experience and preparing joint initiatives to protect children's rights.
