Large-scale drug smuggling busted in Tashkent
4.6 kilograms of the synthetic drug "Mephedrone" imported from Thailand were detected at Tashkent International Airport. During the raids, another 635 grams of "Alfa-PVP" and 1.5 liters of hashish oil were confiscated, and three people were detained.
A large amount of drug smuggling was uncovered in Tashkent.
State Security Service officers, in cooperation with the Tashkent-Aero specialized customs complex, have identified a case related to the import of drugs from abroad.
According to information, two citizens, born in Jizzakh region in 2004 and born in Tashkent in 1993, who arrived on the Bangkok-Tashkent flight, were checked at Tashkent International Airport. As a result of the check, 4.6 kilograms of the synthetic drug "Mephedrone" were found among their luggage, packed and hidden in glass and aluminum bottles.
After that, their residential address in Tashkent was also checked. 1.5 liters of hashish oil and 8 liters of solvents were found there and were registered in the prescribed manner.
Urgent measures were continued, and while receiving drugs imported from abroad in Tashkent, another person, born in Jizzakh region in 1997, was detained. 635 grams of the drug "Alfa-PVP" were confiscated from him.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against these individuals under Part 2 of Article 246 of the Criminal Code (smuggling) and investigative actions are being conducted. In accordance with the current legislation, the punishment for committing such crimes is imprisonment for a term of 10 to 20 years.
