Kazakhstani club misses out on Champions League spot

Kazakhstan's Kairat has been eliminated from the third qualifying round of the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League. The Almaty team lost the second leg to Bulgarian Levski 0-1.

The only goal in the match, which took place at the Turkiston Arena stadium in Turkestan, was scored in the 13th minute. Levski striker Reynaldo put his team ahead. The score remained unchanged for the rest of the match.

Thus, Levski won 2-0 on aggregate and advanced to the Champions League play-offs. The first leg between the teams also ended with a 1-0 victory for the Bulgarians.

Kairat, on the other hand, has completed its participation in the Champions League. The Kazakh club had previously successfully participated in the first two qualifying rounds.

This victory for Levski allowed them to advance to the play-off round of the Champions League qualification.

For your information, the 2026/27 Champions League qualifying rounds will end on August 26.
