The refereeing team from Uzbekistan will officiate at the 2026/27 Asian Champions League qualifying matches.
The 2026/27 AFC Champions League qualifying round match between Adelaide United and Cong An Hanoi will take place on August 11. The match will be officiated entirely by an Uzbek refereeing team. Asker Najafaliev has been appointed as the main referee. His assistants will be Bakhodirkhoja Shavkatov and Ruslan Serazitdinov. Abdurashid Khudoyberganov will serve as the fourth official.
In addition, Uzbek specialist Valentin Kovalenko will be involved in another qualifying match between South Korean side Gangwon and Japanese side Gamba Osaka. He has been appointed Inspector of the Refereeing Crew and will be responsible for evaluating the referees' performance during the match.
It was previously reported that Gianni Infantino, the head of the International Federation of Football Associations, has retained his position despite the major scandal surrounding World Cup rights. Following a seven-hour summit in Rabat, the FIFA Executive Committee, together with Secretary General Mattias Grafström, confirmed the authority of the current head of the organization.
