Karim Benzema may continue his career in the Turkish league — source

There have been reports that Karim Benzema could continue his career in the Turkish championship. According to Goal, the Turkish club Trabzonspor is considering Karim Benzema in order to strengthen its attack. The club's representatives have contacted the Al-Hilal forward's entourage and have received information about the financial terms of a possible transfer.

According to Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Benzema was not Trabzonspor's first choice. The club initially tried to sign Darwin Nunez, but could not reach an agreement on this transfer. After that, Trabzonspor turned its attention to the 38-year-old French striker. So far, there is no information that official negotiations have begun between the parties or that a specific transfer offer has been sent.

It should be noted that Benzema's current contract with Al-Hilal is until 2027. The Transfermarkt portal estimates the market value of the 2022 Ballon d'Or winner at 5 million euros.

For information, the French striker has played in two matches in all competitions this season and managed to score one goal.
