Mohamed Salah becomes highest-paid player in Turkish Super League.

Turkish club Trabzonspor has signed former Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian player joined the club as a free agent. The most notable aspect of this transfer is that the player was set a record salary in the history of the Turkish Super League.

It is noted that Salah's basic salary is 17 million euros per season (about 280 thousand pounds sterling per week). Together with the signing bonus of 5 million euros stipulated in the contract, his weekly income will exceed 360 thousand pounds sterling.

Thus, Mohamed Salah became the highest-paid player in the Turkish Super League, surpassing Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen (15 million euros per year).

The contract also includes clauses for the use of the player's image rights and a share of the club's shirt sales.

Salah is expected to become Trabzonspor's main commercial asset in the international market. The club plans to cover part of this large investment through sponsorship deals and merch.

For information, Mohamed Salah defended the honor of Liverpool from 2017 to 2026. He won the English Premier League (2019/20, 2024/25), the FA Cup (2021/22), the English Super Cup (2022), the English League Cup (2021/22, 2023/24), the UEFA Champions League (2018/19), the UEFA Super Cup (2019) and the Club World Cup (2019) with the Merseysiders.

During his career, Salah also played for Roma, Fiorentina, Chelsea, Basel and Mokawloon.
