How can you receive an Astrasend money transfer and check its status?
A transfer from another country can be collected in cash at a branch if you have the control number and an identity document. Before visiting, ask the sender to verify the recipient’s details and share the transfer number. This will help avoid mistakes when the money is issued.
For many people, money transfers help support relatives who live in another country. They can be used to send money for everyday expenses, medical treatment, or education. A transfer is also useful in an urgent financial situation, when the recipient needs funds quickly. This method is convenient for people who work or study abroad and regularly help their families. Before sending money, it is useful to check the time frame, fee, currency, and available way to receive the funds.
Astrasend is an international money transfer system. It allows money to be sent between a number of countries, including Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. The transfer is arranged through an available point or a partner service of the system. The recipient is given a control number, which will be needed to collect the money.
Astrasend can be received at Bereke Bank branches in Russian rubles, without conversion and without a payout fee. No account needs to be opened. The transfer becomes available within a few minutes after it is sent.
Bring an identity document, passport, or residence permit, along with the money transfer control number (KNDP). The sender receives it when arranging the transfer and passes it on to the recipient. The money can be collected at the branch cashier during working hours. Check the schedule before going, especially if you plan to visit on a day off.
Make sure the first and last name in the transfer are written exactly as in the recipient’s document. If the details differ, ask the sender to find out from the sending point whether the information can be corrected before the money is collected. Do not share the KNDP with strangers and do not post it in public chats.
The system’s page does not describe a separate online service for checking the status of an incoming transfer in Kazakhstan. First, contact the sender and ask whether they completed the transaction and what status is shown by the point or app through which the transfer was made. Compare the KNDP, the amount, and the recipient’s details.
If the money is not issued or the transfer does not appear, contact the call center or a branch with your document and control number. Staff will check the transaction and explain the next steps. When contacting them, state the amount and date of sending, as well as the country of origin. Do not send copies of your ID or the transfer number in response to messages from unknown people.
The maximum amount that can be received depends on the set limit: the page states up to the equivalent of 5,000 US dollars in rubles at the exchange rate at the time of receipt. The minimum amount is determined by the sender bank’s tariffs. An unclaimed transfer is stored for 180 days, after which it is moved to the archive. The transfer is issued only during cashier working hours.
Before visiting, check the key details:
If the transfer was sent recently but still cannot be collected, ask the sender to keep the receipt or electronic confirmation of the transaction. It will help locate the transfer faster when contacting support. After the payout, count the money at the cashier and immediately tell the employee if the amount differs from what you expected.
