For information, the total prize fund of the 2026 Global Chess League competition is 1 million dollars. Half of it — 500 thousand dollars — is distributed depending on the team's final position: the champion receives 250 thousand, the silver medalist 125 thousand, the third-place team 75 thousand, and the fourth-place team 50 thousand dollars.
Another 450 thousand dollars will be distributed among all teams in proportion to the number of game points they collect throughout the tournament. An additional 50 thousand dollars will be received by the league winner. Thus, the amount of prize money depends not only on the final position but also on the result of each individual game. The tournament will continue until September 13.
