In Uzbekistan, there are plans to provide libraries of military units and institutions within the Armed Forces with 1 million copies of fiction literature. According to the project, it is also envisaged that conscripts will read and study works such as "Alpomish", "Baburnama", "Bygone Days" (Oʻtgan kunlar), as well as a number of poems from the works of Cholpon, Erkin Vohidov, Abdulla Oripov, and Muhammad Yusuf.

A draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers on additional measures to develop the reading culture of military personnel in the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan has been prepared.
The main purpose of the document is to raise the reading culture of military personnel, enhance their spiritual and moral qualities, intellectual potential, and worldview, as well as to widely promote the best examples of national and world literature.
Within the framework of the project, it is planned to approve the proposal of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, the Writers' Union, the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences, and the Youth Affairs Agency to provide the libraries of military units and institutions within the Armed Forces with 1 million copies of fiction literature.
According to the draft, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the State Security Service, and the National Guard will be designated as customers for the purchase of 1 million copies of literature.
It is planned to distribute the books among the ministries and agencies belonging to the Armed Forces based on a separate distribution.
The responsible ministries and agencies may be tasked with approving the list of books to be purchased for the libraries of military units and institutions within one month.
The list is expected to include fiction, historical, military-patriotic, popular science, and field-specific literature that promotes qualities such as patriotism, dedication, and diligence among military personnel.
The draft also specifically notes a number of works to be read and studied by conscripts.

- Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur's work "Baburnama";
- Abdulla Qodiriy's novel "Bygone Days" ("Oʻtgan kunlar");
- Abdulhamid Choʻlpon's works "Beautiful Turkestan" ("Goʻzal Turkiston") and "The People is an Ocean" ("Xalq dengizdir");
- Erkin Vohidov's odes "My Uzbek Nation" ("Oʻzbegim") and "Man" ("Inson");
- Abdulla Oripov's poem "Uzbekistan";
- Muhammad Yusuf's poem "We will not give you to anyone, Uzbekistan" ("Hech kimga bermaymiz seni, Oʻzbekiston").
