It is reported that two former ministers in the government have moved to other positions: Kongratbay Sharipov has been appointed rector of the Tashkent State University of Economics, and Ezozkhon Karimova has been appointed first deputy head of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment.
It has been announced that the ministers of higher education and school education have been transferred to other positions.
According to a Kun.uz source, Kongratbay Avezimbetovich Sharipov has been appointed rector of the Tashkent State University of Economics. Prior to this, he had been serving as the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation since February 2024.
Additionally, a Kun.uz source reported that Ezozkhon Gapirjanovna Karimova has been appointed First Deputy Head of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment. Prior to this, she had been working as the Minister of Preschool and School Education since August 2025.
These appointments have not yet been officially announced.
As a reminder, at the beginning of October this year, by presidential decree, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation were reorganized into a single Ministry of Education and Science. It has not yet been announced who will head the new ministry.
