It is never too late to study: more than 53 thousand students are aged 40 and older
In the 2025-2026 academic year in Uzbekistan, the number of students aged 40 and older studying in higher education organizations reached 53,483. This is 9,461 more compared to the previous academic year.

According to data provided by the National Statistics Committee, this figure has increased by 52,867 compared to the 2010-2011 academic year. In that period, the number of students in this age category was 616.
While the number of students aged 40 and older exceeded 20 thousand in the 2022-2023 academic year, it reached 36,113 in the 2023/2024 academic year, and 44,022 in the 2024-2025 academic year.

- 2010-2011 - 616 students;
- 2015-2016 - 170 students;
- 2016-2017 - 174 students;
- 2017-2018 - 2,142 students;
- 2018-2019 - 7,004 students;
- 2019-2020 - 9,751 students;
- 2020-2021 - 10,110 students;
- 2021-2022 - 10,531 students;
- 2022-2023 - 20,247 students;
- 2023-2024 - 36,113 students;
- 2024-2025 - 44,022 students;
- 2025-2026 - 53,483 students.
