The Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia announced that the information regarding a planned terrorist attack in Moscow originated from a teenager who posted a video on TikTok. The US Embassy had previously warned about the potential terrorist attack.

The teenager has been detained; his identity has not been disclosed.

According to the FSB, the video contained photos of the teenager wearing military-style clothing, a face-covering mask, a cap, glasses, and headphones, holding an object resembling an automatic rifle. It also featured photos taken at the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve in Moscow and a caption in English reading "I found a place."

It is unknown which specific channel is being referred to.

According to TASS, the FSB expressed gratitude to its American colleagues for the information regarding the preparation of the terrorist attack.

On October 31, the US Embassy in Russia warned of a possible terrorist attack on the grounds of the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve. The German Embassy in Moscow issued a similar warning to its citizens. On that day, the museum-reserve was closed "for technical reasons." The following day, the area was reopened to visitors.
