US Embassy in Moscow warned of a possible terrorist attack in Tsaritsyno Park
The US Embassy in the Russian capital, Moscow, issued a security alert: according to its information, a mass casualty event could occur on the grounds of the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve on October 31.
The Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia confirmed that it had received information from the American side about a terrorist attack being prepared in Moscow.
American diplomats consider the threat to be credible. The statement says that the US government is coordinating its response with Russian state authorities. US citizens have been advised not to visit Tsaritsyno on Saturday, to stay away from the park, to avoid crowded places, and to maintain vigilance.
According to FSB representatives, the information was received through "partner channels." The agency stated that "appropriate work is being carried out." Russian officials are not disclosing further details.
The US Embassy issued a similar warning in March 2024 before the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall. At that time, the embassy advised US citizens to avoid public gatherings for 48 hours.
