At the regular meeting of the Senate Council of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the issue of convening the nineteenth plenary session of the Senate was discussed.
According to the decision of the Council, the nineteenth plenary session of the Oliy Majlis Senate will be held on September 10, 2026.
At the meeting, the issues to be included in the agenda of the plenary session were considered. In particular, laws aimed at introducing amendments to the law on the introduction of the Uzbek alphabet based on the Latin script, protecting consumer rights, further strengthening the guard and protection of the State Border of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and improving the activities of the National Guard will be discussed.
In addition, a law on the ratification of protocols related to amendments to the Convention on International Civil Aviation will also be considered.
Furthermore, issues regarding the alteration of the administrative-territorial boundaries of the city of Zarafshan and Tomdi district of Navoiy region, as well as Qiziriq and Jarqo‘rg‘on districts of Surxondaryo region, are also on the agenda.
At the plenary session, the issue of sending a parliamentary inquiry to the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the state of regulation of land and real estate relations, as well as the results of the parliamentary inquiry sent regarding the measures being taken to strengthen the institution of the family and prevent divorces in our country, will also be considered.
The senators will also discuss the issue of approving the decisions of the Senate Council of the Oliy Majlis.
