Isroil Madrimov and Rustam Assakalov awarded with state award

Israil Madrimov and Rustam Assakalov awarded state awards.

On August 22, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on awarding a group of workers in the fields of science, education, healthcare, sports, literature, culture and art, as well as the media, in connection with the thirty-fifth anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

According to this decree, the following were awarded for their effective services in maintaining an atmosphere of peace, harmony, mutual respect and solidarity in society, educating young people in the spirit of love and devotion to the homeland, respect for universal human values, and active participation in social life:

With the Order of "Labor Glory":

Rustam Shhatbiyevich Assakalov - head coach of the national team of Uzbekistan in Greco-Roman wrestling.

With the Order of "Friendship":

Israil Modrakhimovich Madrimov - professional boxer.

For information, Isroil Madrimov won the Asian Championship and Asian Games in amateur boxing. In the professional ring, he held 14 fights, recording 11 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw. After two consecutive losses, he made a successful comeback by defeating Luis David Salazar in January 2026.

Rustam Assakalov was a two-time World Champion as part of the Uzbekistan national team. In addition, he won bronze and gold medals at the Baku-2017 and Konya-2021 Islamic Solidarity Games. After participating in the Paris Olympics, he completed his professional sports career and was appointed head coach of the national team.
